Panterona is an award-winning cosplayer, fashion/costume designer, artist, educator, and convention organizer from Trinidad and Tobago. With 20 years of experience, she has created a wide range of costumes from anime, television, comics, games, and more. She has won international costume competitions, including the London Film and Comic Con Cosplay Championships in 2015, Blizzcon 2021, and the Gamers without Borders International Cosplay Competition in 2021.
Panterona has traveled and judged cosplay competitions globally and has been the resident Head Judge for the Caribbean Cosplay Championships for seven years. She has collaborated with brands like Digicel, Caribbean Cinemas, Funimation, E3, Intel, Riot Games, and Arcane, and has been featured on shows like "Intel Creator Challenge Season 3" and "Faces of E3 2021."
She has produced many Ready to Wear and Carnival Monday wear collections, pioneered the ‘carnival style’ of cosplay, and led the first Cosplay Carnival band in the Caribbean. Panterona is the Executive Director of “ALIAS Entertainment Expo,” the largest English-speaking pop culture convention in the region, where she conducts workshops and demos on Alternative Careers in the Creative Industry.
Panterona has also produced and co-directed a television program called “Project ALIAS,” following cosplayers as they created their competition pieces. This show was broadcast for two seasons on local television. She continues to use cosplay and design as avenues for creative self-expression, showcasing her culture, talent, and artistry while inspiring others to explore their creative paths.
